The role is set in a highly collaborative research environment and aims to combine proprietary behavioural tasks with neuroimaging to develop a novel set of digital biomarkers for symptoms of mood disorders across a wide range of clinical severity, from subclinical (at-risk) to severe and chronic mental illness. The new digital markers will be validated in clinical and non-clinical studies with national and international collaborators.
Your responsibilities:
The associate is responsible for the planning and execution of clinical and non-clinical research studies. This includes longitudinal studies, pilot studies, long-term follow-up studies, and clinical research studies. This role is responsible for coordinating the clinical personnel, research teams (i.e neuroimaging and wearable teams) and product development teams, as well as managing the collaboration with external partners (CROs, clinical sites, and outsourced activities relevant for research studies). This position will ensure that studies are conducted on time, within budget, and of high quality in compliance with regulatory and ethical frameworks.
The profile we expect:
- At least a Master's Degree in life sciences, neuroscience, psychology, cognitive science, or related discipline.
- Experience in conducting clinical research or non-clinical research with human volunteers.
- Ability to deliver results and execute on required activities individually, in a team setting.
- Organized and detail-oriented.
- Willingness to travel up to 20%, generally within Austria.
- Initiative, enthusiasm and a problem-solving approach to new challenges.
- Motivated to work in a dynamic start-up environment and readiness to adapt and learn.
- Proficiency in the English language.
Additional plus could be:
- Industry experience within biotech, pharma, or CRO
- Experience with IRBs
- Working knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and international regulations for clinical trials.
- Proficiency in the German language.
This is a 30h/week position, limited to 2 years with the possibility of extension. The candidate can be based in either Vienna or Innsbruck. We operate with a hybrid work model, but the candidate will need to travel to data collection sites as necessary. The position is funded through a collaboration between TiliaHealth and University of Innsbruck (Faculty of Psychology). This position can also be part of a PhD program in psychology at the Faculty of Psychology at the University of Innsbruck. According to Austrian law, we are obliged to specify the minimum salary level, which is €34,412 gross per year as per the collective bargaining agreement. However, based on your experience and qualifications the total rewards package, including stock options, can be adjusted.
